ICANN is a not-for-profit corporation with participants from all over the world dedicated to keeping the Internet secure, stable and interoperable. ICANN is known best as the organization that decides on the top-level domain names, like .com, .org, .net and .us.
ICANN's Government Advisory Committee consists of government representatives from 109 member states -- from Afghanistan to Yemen -- who provide advice to ICANN on issues of public policy.
The Government Advisory Committee (GAC) website serves as a directory of members, repository of communiques, and summary of international meetings. The website is based on the popular open source Drupal web content management system.
